  • Green yarn
  • Orange yarn
  • Yarn Seaming Needle

  • HDC- Half Double Crochet
  • SC- Single Crochet

Starting with green yarn, leaving a long tail

Row 1 – CH 70 , HDC in second stitch and in each stitch following ( 69 HDC total ) CH1 Turn

Row 2 – HDC in each stitch across ( 69 HDC total ) Switch to orange yarn.

Row 3 -15 – 1 HDC in each stitch ( 69 HDC total ) leave yarn attached after you complete row. You will fold your work in half now and seam up the sides. When you get the green yarn , you will seam that section with green yarn.

You will seam the bottom of the bag by cinching it closed to tighten it up. you will weave your needle in and out of stitches and then pulling it tight and tying it off. You can do another row of cinching to ensure tightness of closure.

We will now work on the tie that closes the bag .

With the green , CH 100 ( leaving a tail on each end ) finish off and tie one end

You will weave your tail in and out around the green part of bag tying knots on each end when complete.

For the handle now

Row 1 -CH 40 , SC in 2nd stitch from hook and in each stitch after ( 39 SC total ) CH1 and turn

Row 2-SC in each stitch ( 39 SC ) CH1 Finish off with long tail , you will use this tail to secure the handle to the bag by folding length in half and sewing it onto the opposite side of closure on bag,
