I thought of this scarf because I wanted to make a simple but lacey looking scarf. I didn’t want to involve too many stitch repeats. So you will essentially be making 4 rows of chains and Single Crochets and then 4 rows of V-Stitches and repeating this !

Note– You will be making this scarf from its longest length, so you will need to know how long you want your scarf to be ahead of time. I did this for myself by taking a length of yarn and wrapping it around my neck to mimic my scarf. Cut it to its length and measure it. I needed to CH at least 200 to make the desired length. But increase it if you want a longer scarf.

Row 1 CH200, SC in 2nd CH from hook, CH1 , SK next CH , SC in next CH, *CH3 , SK 2 CHs , SC in next CH , Repeat from * Across to last 2 CHs , CH1 , SK next CH , SC in last CH. CH1 and turn
Row 2 -SC in first SC , CH1 , SC in next SC ,* CH3 , SC in SC , Repeat from * until last 2 Single Crochets. SC in second to last SC , CH1 , SC in last SC . CH1 and turn
Row 3 – SC in first SC , CH1 , SC in next SC ,* CH3 , SC in SC , Repeat from * until last 2 Single Crochets. SC in second to last SC , CH1 , SC in last SC . CH1 and turn
Row 4 -SC in first SC , CH1 , SC in next SC ,* CH3 , SC in SC , Repeat from * until last 2 Single Crochets. SC in second to last SC , CH1 , SC in last SC. CH 3 (counts as First DC ) and turn
Row 5 V Stitch into each SC across until last SC , DC in last SC . CH3 and turn ( you have 1 DC at the start, and 1 DC at the end )
Row 6 V Stitch in first V stitch and repeat until the end . DC in the last DC . CH3 and turn
Row 7 V Stitch in first V stitch and repeat until the end . DC in the last DC . CH3 and turn
Row 8 V Stitch in first V stitch and repeat until the end . DC in the last DC . CH1 and turn
Row 9 -11 SC in first DC, CH1, SC in first V Stitch , *CH3 , SC in next V stitch, Repeat from * until last V stitch and DC . SC in last V Stitch , CH1 , SC in last DC. Ch1 Turn
Row 12 SC in first DC, CH1, SC in first V Stitch , *CH3 , SC in next V stitch, Repeat from * until last V stitch and DC . SC in last V Stitch , CH1 , SC in last DC. Ch3 Turn
Row 13– 16 Repeat pattern from Rows 5-8. Leave a tail of about 6 inches and weave in and out of finished scarf. And your scarf is complete !
