Winding Hills Motif

This is a super cute and easy piece to work up! You can use it as a table runner , trivet, arm rest cover or decorative doily !

Supplies and Tools

  • US G 6 /4.00 mm hook
  • Stitch Marker
  • Scissors
  • Yarn Seaming Needle
  • Any Worsted Weight Yarn

  • SS – Slip Stitch
  • CH – Chain
  • SK- Skip
  • SC- Single Crochet
  • DC – Double Crochet

** Mark first Stitch each row ( CH1 doesn’t count as a stitch in the start of a row )

Chain 4, SS in 1st Chain.

Round1 -CH1 , DC 12 into the circle you made. SS into the first DC you made. CH1

Round 2 – 2 DC in each DC , you will have a total of 24 DC. SS into the first DC. CH1

Round 3– 2 DC in first DC ,1 DC in next DC , you will repeat in pattern ( 2 DC, 1 DC ) SS into first DC ( 36 DC total ) CH1

Round 4 – 2 DC in first DC , 1 DC in each of the next 2 DC , repeat in pattern ( 48 total DC ) SS in first DC made CH1

Round 5 -SC in same spot as the CH1, CH3 SK 1 DC SC in next DC , *CH 3 , SK 1 DC and SC in next . Repeat from * SS in first SC ( 24 CH spaces in total )

Round 6 – SS into CH space , CH3 ( mark Stitch ) 4 DC in first space. SC in next space , * CH3, 5 DC in next space, SC in next. Repeat in pattern from * You will end on CH3, SS in the first CH3 at beginning.

Round 7 – CH 7 , SC in SC , *5 DC in CH3 space , CH5, SC in SC . Repeat in pattern , ending in 5 DC in CH space. SS in second chain of CH7

Round 8 – SS into Chain space , CH3 , mark stitch , 4 more DC in same space. SC in SC, * CH 5 , 5 DC in space, SC in SC. Repeat from * ending on CH5. SS in first DC

Round 9 – CH1 , SC in same stitch . SC in next two DC. *CH 7 , SK Chain space. SC in the next 3 DC, Repeat in pattern from * ending on CH7, SS into the first SC. CH1

Round 10 – SC evenly around the SC groupings and the chain spaces . Weave in any loose ends with a yarn needle .
