This is a cute simple little project to make your table pop ! I can envision a pretty candle or vase set on top of it !
Tools and Supplies
- CraftSmart yarn in Orchard Mist #VM24 ( or any purple medium weight variegated yarn )
- USG6/4mm Crochet Hook
- Scissors
- Stitch Marker
- Yarn Seaming Needle

- CH- Chain
- SC- Single Crochet
- SS- Slip Stitch
- SK – Skip stitch
- HDC- Half Double Crochet
- DC- Double Crochet
Special Stitches
- V- Stitch : DC, CH2, DC all in the same designated stitch
- Shell : 5 Double Crochet in designated stitch
Notes
- CH1 at start does not count as a stitch unless stated.
- You will mark the first stitch of each round as you continue working round to round.
Directions
CH3 , SS in the first CH, making a small loop. CH1
Round 1 – DC 10 in the loop. SS in to the first DC. CH1
Round 2 -2 DC in same stitch, and in each DC around. SS into the first DC
( 20 DCs total ) CH1
Round 3 -2 DC in same stitch, 1 DC in the next and repeat in pattern. SS into the first DC ( 30 DCS in total ) CH6 – counts as 1st DC and CH3 of the next round
Round 4 -Mark the 3rd chain as the first DC , SK 1 DC, *DC in the next stitch, CH3, SK 1 DC. Repeat in pattern at * ending on CH3, SS into the first DC. CH1 ( counts as first SC if next stitch , so place marker here ) . You will have 15 chain spaces and 15 DCs )
Round 5-SC 2 in the first CH3 space, SC in the next DC and repeat in pattern, You will have 45 total SC . SS into the first SC of round, CH5 ( counts as DC and chain 2 )
Round 6 -DC in same stitch ( first V-Stitch made) * CH2, SK 2 SC, V-Stitch into the next. Repeat in pattern from * ending on CH1, and SS into the first DC
Round 7 – SS into the chain space . CH3 ( mark as the first DC) , DC 4 more times( first shell made ) * Shell in next V- Stitch . SS into first DC
Round 8 – SS in each of the next 2 DC , CH6 (mark 3rd chain as the first DC ) * DC in between shells, CH3, DC in the third DC of each shell . CH3 and repeat in pattern. Ending on CH3 , SS into the first DC. CH1 ( counts as SC on next round )
Round 9 -SC 2 in the next chain space, SC into the next DC. Repeat in pattern. SS into the first SC . You will have 90 SC in total.
Round 10-*CH7 , SK 5 stitches, SC in next. Repeat in pattern. End on CH7, SS into the last stitch.
Round 11– In each CH7 space : *(2 SC , 2 HDC , 3 DC, 2 HDC , 2 SC), SS into the next SC repeat in pattern . Finish off and seam in the loose threads
